Testimonials/Notes from our Customers

Hi!  The Ring family wants to say Thank You! Here’s some pictures of Bear (aka Leo) the Aussie Doodle we purchased from you last December. He is a perfect addition to our family and we absolutely love him! He was potty trained in a month, his demeanor is calm and he’s one of the most friendly dogs I’ve ever seen.

 Thanks again,  Wendy

From the new owners of Otis:

Otis is now 15 pounds and he is best of friends with our other dog Nikko. Thank you so much for helping us find the new member of our family :)”

From the new owners of Liaka Lilac:
“We just got Liaka Lilac (formerly known as Lovely Lilac from Dolly’s first litter of goldendoodles) on Monday June 15th. We are still i
n our first week, but Liaka has been a wonderful addition to our family thus far and we couldn’t be happier! Houskerville Doodles have been amazing to work with through the whole process! From helping us decide on the best breed for our family, keeping us updated with pictures and videos of the puppies their first 8 weeks of life, being so helpful and patient with us when it came time for us to make our decision on which puppy to choose, and to getting Laika delivered to us, her “new” family; Houskerville Doodles (Katrice) has been awesome. When we got Laika she was perfect: so clean, smelled so good, and fur was so soft and fluffy, and nails all trimmed. Just perfect for cuddling! Laika came with a little bag with a toy-which she loves, a couple pee pads, ziplock of food, dog treats, a packet with all her information, and an adorable pink leash-which matched the cute grey/pink collar she came with. We found the bag she came with very helpful to get us started and for our first night and couple days with Laika. You can definitely tell Laika was well cared for/loved/handled during her first 8 weeks of life! She loves people, loves to be played with, loves to cuddle, and adapts very well to all different situations. I am very happy that we decided to go with Houskerville Doodles for our puppy! They definitely went above and beyond our expectations. If ever we decided, in the future, to get another dog we would definitely use Houskerville Doodles again! – Chelsea DeFelice Spina”

From the new owners of Vincent:
“She [daughter]  cannot believe that she got a puppy. My husband is over joyed with how cute the puppy is. Tell your daughter she did a great job prepping the puppy up for my daughter and my son. We will be definitely sharing pics with you. Again, my godparents mentioned how nice you were during the exchange and I did not expect all the things he came with. Thank you. Thank you for working with my godparents in meeting with them. If you need me as a reference in the future, plus feel free to let me know. I would be more than happy to help you out. Through this whole transaction you have been kind, honest and flexible. Thank you.”

Sangria and her new Mamma in Grand Forks, ND!

A note from Sangria’s Family:
“Sangria is such a sweetie and has grown! We just had her
in to get the monthly dose of heart worm med. and she was 9.6 lbs. We started a session of Puppy Kindergarten with her through the GF Dog Training Club. She just cracks us up – she is kind of the class clown! But, does a great job. Her coat is very pretty. She sits well for brushing and we’ve even done a bath with no problems! You raise fantastic fur-babies!!”

A note from Ten’s Family:   “Ten (Liam) has grown so big. He is so energetic. He and his brother (Leo: Standard Poodle) play tug of war with their toy all the time. My older daughter is like his mother.  We love his hair shorter:-) Everyone who comes to our house falls in love with him! He is so sweet and friendly.”

Health/Genetic Warranty

Rhydian-6weeks-ds-9425
HOUSKERVILLE PUPPY HEALTH/GENETIC WARRANTY

Your puppy is guaranteed to be in good health at the time of sale. If your new puppy should die within 72 hours after you take him home, we will give you a full refund if it is based on the health of the puppy, not including any accidents.
If your puppy should die within the first year of life from a genetic based reason, you are required to provide written documentation by your DVM to my DVM (Dr. Lyle Mattson), stating the genetic condition. In professional agreement, a replacement puppy of your choice will be provided OR the full purchase price of puppy (not including shipping costs) will be issued within six months of incident. If this puppy is found to be in ill health within one year of the date of sale, upon receiving written documentation from your DVM. We will take back the puppy and refund you 100% of the purchase price; however, you will not get a refund and also get to keep the puppy. Under no situation will we pay for any vet bills you incur. These are to be paid at your discretion and the professionalism and ethics of your DVM. This puppy must be seen within five business days for this warranty to be applied. Within your puppy packet, there will be a complete health record and a Vet Certificate of Health for your DVM to review. We give no refund if your puppy eats any hazardous plants, food, objects, medicine, poisons, gets hit by any vehicle, or runs away. If you are purchasing an Australian Shepherd or Aussiedoodle, it is your complete responsibility to ensure that your puppy does not consume or get an injection containing Ivermectin of any amount- which is a de-wormer harmful to the (Australian) American Shepherd breed and may be harmful to to Aussiedoodle, as well.

This warranty does not cover any worms or parasites, as worms are very common and your puppy has been heavily de-wormed to keep them under control. We give no guarantee on coat color or quality, as coats may, or may not change as the puppy matures. We do not cover potential problems associated with under-bites or overbites, as we cannot predict growth. If your puppy has an under-bite or overbite, your puppy will be offered at a reduced price, and you accept to buy the puppy knowing this at time of sale. It is understood that some bites can become worse or improve with maturity. We do not cover surgery related to umbilical hernias, if your puppy should have one of any problems associated with one. The buyer must agree to provide veterinary care within this first year, including annual heart worm checks and preventatives and to keep vaccinations current. Failure to comply with and provide documentation of the above requirements voids this warranty. Hypoglycemic shock and death is covered within 72 hours after leaving our premises. If your puppy were to die as a result of hypoglycemic issues within 72 hours, we will refund the purchase price of the puppy, but delivery costs will not be covered. Vet bills treating this condition are not covered.

Foods to Avoid Feeding Your Dog

Q. Which foods could be dangerous for my dog?
A.
Some foods which are edible for humans, and even other species of animals, can pose hazards for dogs because of their different metabolism. Some may cause only mild digestive upsets, whereas, others can cause severe illness, and even death. The following common food items should not be fed (intentionally or unintentionally) to dogs. This list is, of course, incomplete because we can not possibly list everything your dog should not eat.

food

Items to avoid Reasons to avoid
Alcoholic beverages Can cause intoxication, coma, and death.
Avocado The leaves, seeds, fruit, and bark contain persin, which can cause vomiting and diarrhea.
Bones from fish, poultry, or other meat sources Can cause obstruction or laceration of the digestive system.
Cat food Generally too high in protein and fats.
Chocolate, coffee, tea, and other caffeine Contain caffeine, theobromine, or theophylline, which can cause vomiting and diarrhea and be toxic to the heart and nervous systems.
Citrus oil extracts Can cause vomiting.
Fat trimmings Can cause pancreatitis.
Fish (raw, canned or cooked) If fed exclusively or in high amounts can result in a thiamine (a B vitamin) deficiency leading to loss of appetite, seizures, and in severe cases, death.
Grapes, raisins and currants Contain an unknown toxin, which can damage the kidneys. There have been no problems associated with grape seed extract.
Hops Unknown compound causes panting, increased heart rate, elevated temperature, seizures, and death.
Human vitamin supplements containing iron Can damage the lining of the digestive system and be toxic to the other organs including the liver and kidneys.
Macadamia nuts Contain an unknown toxin, which can affect the digestive and nervous systems and muscle.
Marijuana Can depress the nervous system, cause vomiting, and changes in the heart rate.
Milk and other dairy products Some adult dogs and cats may develop diarrhea if given large amounts of dairy products.
Moldy or spoiled food, garbage Can contain multiple toxins causing vomiting and diarrhea and can also affect other organs.
Mushrooms Can contain toxins, which may affect multiple systems in the body, cause shock, and result in death.
Onions and garlic (raw, cooked, or powder) Contain sulfoxides and disulfides, which can damage red blood cells and cause anemia. Cats are more susceptible than dogs. Garlic is less toxic than onions.
Persimmons Seeds can cause intestinal obstruction and enteritis.
Pits from peaches and plums Can cause obstruction of the digestive tract.
Raw eggs Contain an enzyme called avidin, which decreases the absorption of biotin (a B vitamin). This can lead to skin and hair coat problems. Raw eggs may also contain Salmonella.
Raw meat May contain bacteria such as Salmonella and E. coli, which can cause vomiting and diarrhea.*
Rhubarb leaves Contain oxalates, which can affect the digestive, nervous, and urinary systems.
Salt If eaten in large quantities it may lead to electrolyte imbalances.
String Can become trapped in the digestive system; called a “string foreign body.”
Sugary foods Can lead to obesity, dental problems, and possibly diabetes mellitus.
Table scraps (in large amounts) Table scraps are not nutritionally balanced. They should never be more than 10% of the diet. Fat should be trimmed from meat; bones should not be fed.
Tobacco Contains nicotine, which affects the digestive and nervous systems. Can result in rapid heart beat, collapse, coma, and death.
Yeast dough Can expand and produce gas in the digestive system, causing pain and possible rupture of the stomach or intestines.
Xylitol (artificial sweetener) Can cause very low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), which can result in vomiting, weakness and collapse. In high doses can cause liver failure.

*We suggest that people considering a raw diet for their pet educate themselves thoroughly regarding the safe handling and preparation of raw ingredients, and the proper balance of nutrients required to maintain their pet’s health.
